Share Your Story: Becky Daniels

What is your name and where are you from?
My name is Becky Daniels and I am from Schenectady, NY.

What was your first show at theREP?
Mamma Mia!

What is your favorite production you have seen at theREP?
I have never seen a show I didn’t love, to be honest. But, if I absolutely had to pick a favorite, I think Ring of Fire would be it. I absolutely loved the music, the cast was wonderful and I thought the way the music was woven into the story was really fabulous.

Where is your favorite place to go before or after a show at theREP?
I love getting a margarita and tacos at Ama Cocina before a show!

What are you most looking forward to this season at theREP?
I’m very excited for Christmas at Pemberly – I’m a die hard Jane Austen fan ☺

Do you have a funny memory or story you would like to share about theREP?
Nothing that is particularly funny, but I do love that every (and I mean every) time I go, I run into someone different that I know. And it’s often someone I haven’t seen in ages. It’s great to be somewhere that attracts such a wonderful and diverse audience.

Why do you think theREP is important to the Capital Region?
There are so many reasons to love theREP! I’m a true believer that theatre has the power to bring people together and the stories told at theREP are a perfect example of that. I also love the intimacy of theREP – no matter where you’re seated, it’s close enough to the action to feel immersed in whatever story is being told – which gives every performance a bit of magic.
